One day my friend Maria called me offering to make all the cake for the wedding reception of a friend. A "normal" person would never have given spontaneously to create a wedding cake (but Maria is anything but "normal") and another "normal" person would never have agreed to help her, but I'm not even so much as a "normal ".... I accepted!
So a thousand questions, projects, worries, fears and suggestions, we embarked on this adventure together.
We decided to make a cake on three floors, decorated with white sugar paste, hand-shaped street pattern and surrounded by a garland and bows, in short, a very romantic cake.
The first day was devoted to the creation of the street in various sizes, the second to the realization of the 3 sponge (uno da 9, uno da 6 ed uno da 3 uova) e della farcitura (crema chantilly al limone) tutto realizzato da Maria ed il terzo giorno per il "montaggio" e la decorazione.
Devo dire che ci siamo divertite molto: il progetto iniziale è stato più volte rivisto in fase di realizzazione ed il risultato ci ha ripagato dell'impegno.
La torta è stata apprezzatissima dagli sposi ed ha ricevuto i complimenti di tutti gli invitati alla cerimonia.
Il plauso più grande, comunque, va a Maria: al suo coraggio, alla sua determinazione, alla sua forza ......
sono onorata della sua amicizia che questa esperienza ha contribuito a rafforzare.
